Crafty Thanksgiving

So, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family, food, and crafting. That’s how mine was, anyway. I loved having my siblings home from college and spending time with my cousins from across the state and out of state. I even got to spend some special time teaching my cousin Peyton how to crochet. I created some bracelets for Roots and Wings merchandise and offered to make her one. While picking colors, she decided she wanted to learn how to make her own!

She picked it up more quickly than I expected, but an allergic reaction stopped her progress. I swear I’m not making this up. Her hands started itching, got blotchy and swelled a little. Her top lip swelled to twice its normal size. (She’s not allergic to anything that we know of.) We’re still not sure what caused it, but she’s fine now. Some of my family thought she might be allergic to yarn, but she wore the bracelet we made without a problem, so I’m not sure. She asked for crochet supplies for Christmas, but I’m not sure how that will go over after the swelling incident.
